Join us on February 5th at the Eucharist Gathering to hear more about opportunities to serve at Sun Valley:
Located just south of Sports Authority Field at Mile High, between Federal and I-25 is Colorado’s most impoverished neighborhood, Sun Valley. The community consists of mostly housing projects and the average household income is only $8,000. Sun Valley is a diverse neighborhood, which belongs to people of many different cultures, ethnicities, and religions, and consists of many single mothers with children. In fact, more than half of the residents of Sun Valley are under the age of 18. In the coming weeks we will be sharing a few opportunities for Ecclesia to join the vision and partner with the Sun Valley community.
Starting this Sunday, a bin will be available in the worship space for you to drop off donations for the Sun Valley Youth Center.
Currently, the top needs are:
-winter clothing
-hygiene items – soap, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper
-swim gear
-non-perishable food items
